The Fosters
Sara, Dave and Clara
Sara and Dave have fostered 7 dogs in the past year. Some of them were for a few days or weeks and some of them were for 16 weeks or more.
Sara is a program manager for a nonprofit furniture bank and Dave is an accountant. They have two children in colleage and live in Westchester County in New York State.
Sara says: "Our dog died on April 13 2025 and we were very attached to her so we weren't ready to get another dog of our own yet. Fostering definitely has it's challenges the least of which is that it's very bittersweet when you have to let them go. But there is no better feeling however than to see a dog drive away with their new family. It makes me so happy. Some of the adoption families stay in touch with us and send photos which is so wonderful."
Clara is a 2 year old American Foxhound from Puerto Rico and has found her forever home in March 2026.
