Zen on the Asphalt
I have always wanted to try to pull together a themed show that hangs well together. It's something that many photographers are told they need to do and aspire to do, but it can take years or maybe even decades to achieve. Thus, many of us fail in this task. I began to take photos of the forest floor ten years ago and found a world I never saw before that was remarkable and beautiful. But what really has surprised me (and has been a lot of fun} is shooting the stuff we drive over. We are completely detached from the patterns and formations created by nature on the streets and sidewalks. And even if we're walking many of us are looking at our phones. I say put the phone down on your walk and see the beauty in everything around you, even in the things you have judged unworthy of such a distinction as "beautiful".
